Have you missed some of the precious time of the previous Ramadan?

Do you feel you could have done more in that blessed month? Are you disappointed with your performance during the last ten days of Ramadan and feel an overwhelming yearning for the spirituality of Laylat Al-Qadr?Well, you have another chance! It is out of Allah's mercy that He bestows upon us blessed times in which rewards are multiplied. These seasons of goodness recur time after time, so that we can recharge our spiritual batteries and keep our hearts alive. Nowadays, we are witnessing one of them — the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah.

Discover Islam Sheikh Abdullah Bin AbdurRahman Bin Jibreen passes away
Posted by administrator on Thursday, July 16 @ 01:17:19 AST (912 reads)

Inna lillahi wa inna illahi rajioon (To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return).

On Monday, July 13, 2009, Allah (subhana wa tala) took away the soul of one of the greatest scholars of our time, Sheikh Abdullah Bin AbdurRahman Bin Jibreen. May Allah have mercy on him and grant him the highest place in Paradise.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin AbdurRahman Bin Jibreen was a member of the Board of Senior Ulema in Saudi Arabia and a member of the Ifta Permanent Committee.

Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-’As reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: "Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, so that when He leaves no learned person, people turn to ignorant as their leaders; then they are asked to deliver religious verdicts and they deliver them without knowledge, they go astray, and lead others astray." (Sahih Muslim)

Discover Islam April Fool - A dishonest Tradition
Posted by administrator on Sunday, March 29 @ 20:10:00 AST (1444 reads)

1st April - a day when people lie, play jokes and mock in the name of entertainment. This ugly practice of lying, which is considered to be merely a humor, is known to have caused great harm to many. Even trauma and deaths. Still this dishonest tradition is not only practiced among the common masses, but also newspapers and magazines participate in it by publishing false news and untrue stories on the first day of April!

Much is said about the origin of this practice, however what concerns the most to the Muslims is that it is a tradition which directly contradicts the teachings and morals of Islam.

Lying is a characteristic of hypocrisy and Allah's Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) strictly forbade lying at all times. He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: “Let he who truly believes in Allah and the Last Day speak good or be silent.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee] Moreover, he (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) has specifically cursed the person who lies to make people laugh, he said: “Woe be on one who speaks and lies in order to make people laugh, woe be on him.” [Abu Dawood]
